Wake up before dawn to the sounds of the forest. After a quick tea, head out for the morning safari in one of Kaziranga’s famous zones — Central (Kohora), Western (Bagori), Eastern (Agaratoli) and Burapahar.
Each zone offers a unique landscape — from tall elephant grasslands and floodplain forests to oxbow lakes teeming with migratory birds.
Spot the iconic Indian One-Horned Rhinoceros, along with Asiatic Elephants, Wild Buffaloes, Swamp Deer, Hog Deer, and Water Monitors.
Kaziranga is also a birding paradise — over 480 species including Great Hornbill, Bengal Florican, Pallas’s Fish Eagle, Grey-headed Fish Eagle, Bar-headed Goose, and Black-necked Stork.
Return from the safari by 10:30 AM for a hearty breakfast. Relax till lunch, then head out again for the evening safari at 2:30 PM. The golden light of Kaziranga’s grasslands creates perfect conditions for wildlife photography.
Evenings are spent reviewing photographs, sharing sightings, and listening to stories of the jungle over dinner and laughter with new friends.
After an early breakfast, bid goodbye to the wild. Depart for Guwahati at 8 AM, stopping for lunch en route.
Arrive in Guwahati by around 2 PM.
